Cadillac’s new ATS commercials may not be for everyone, but they do show what the ATS goes through before it is considered to be up to Cadillac standards. Through a serious of “Luxperiments”, as Cadillac refers to them, a variety of luxury objects are put through the same tests that the ATS is. From an expensive party cake subjected to an extreme heat chamber to a fancy dining room put through the extreme shake test, the commercials provide a humorous approach to the real quality tests the ATS as well as other Cadillac models must pass before they become available to consumers.
While obviously, items like cakes, china and as in the video below, a piano obviously are not designed to compete with an automobile, the commercials do provide a visual representation of what the tests really do. While it may be a comparison of apples to oranges, the commercials do provide a humorous look at a luxury that was formerly associated more with those that chose to be a bit more serious and refined. With all the seriousness of the world these days, it is refreshing to see that Cadillac is offering consumers a break, even if it is only for a minute.
